Redirect Checker

Follow a URL’s redirect chain server-side, up to 10 hops, and see every step with its status code, the final destination and any redirect loop.

Follows the redirect chain server-side (up to 10 hops) and reports every step with its status code. Useful for verifying link shorteners, checking where an untrusted link actually lands, and catching redirect loops.

Trace a redirect chain

Follow example.com from the server and see the full chain — every hop, status code and the final destination.

Requires an internet connection. The chain is followed server-side up to 10 hops.

FAQ

What is a redirect chain?

A series of HTTP redirects a URL goes through before landing on its final page — for example a short link that forwards through an affiliate or tracking domain before reaching the destination.

Why would I want to check one?

To see where an untrusted or shortened link actually lands before clicking it, to verify a new domain’s redirects, and to catch loops or chains long enough to slow users down.

How many hops can it follow?

Up to 10. If a chain exceeds that, the tool stops and flags a likely redirect loop so you know something is misconfigured.

Does it run in my browser?

No — the chain is followed server-side from Cloudflare’s edge, which lets it see redirects as an external visitor would, without your browser’s cache interfering.
