MAC Address Lookup

Identify the vendor/manufacturer behind a MAC address (OUI lookup) from a local database, entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.

The first 3 bytes (OUI) identify the manufacturer. Lookup uses the public maclookup.app API.

Look up a vendor

Look up a MAC address whose first three bytes are a well-known OUI and see the manufacturer it maps to.

The first 3 bytes (the OUI) identify the manufacturer. Lookup uses a local database in your browser.

FAQ

What is an OUI?

The Organizationally Unique Identifier is the first three bytes of a MAC address. The IEEE assigns each three-byte prefix to a manufacturer, which is how the vendor is identified.

Is my MAC address private?

Your MAC is only visible on the local network you’re connected to — it’s not sent across the internet. Modern devices also use randomized MACs when scanning for Wi-Fi to further protect privacy.

Can you tell me the exact device model?

No. The OUI reveals only the manufacturer (and ranging can hint at the model family for some vendors), not the specific product or its serial number.

Why did the lookup find nothing?

The local vendor database is a snapshot, so very new or rarely seen OUIs may be missing. If you don’t see a result, try a full online OUI database.
